The Farm

We bought the farm for our first horse Stella, as it was really important to us that she have a permanent forever home. The property that we had purchased became known to us through a friend and colleague, before it had even gone on the market. It was one of those things that we believe was meant to be.

 

We immediately did some renovations to the horse living areas which included upgrading the  fencing, and installing all new heated exterior waters. One of the things that Madison wanted to implement was a natural way of keeping horses so we built a large "paddock paradise" inspired track system for horses. This is an important part of a unique way that Madison keeps her horses, versus the traditional way which involves stabling them for the majority of their day. 

 

The projects are certainly ongoing! This year we even decided to try cutting our own hayfield. We dream of building both a new barn and a new home for ourselves on the family farm. It is a privilege to be able to continue to make our horses' home feel like a safe, beautiful and peaceful place for them.
