Our Services
Groundwork
The ideal starting point with a horse is through learning effective communication through groundwork. This session focuses on foundational training, helping you improve your body language, posture and overall connection. Ideal for building a strong bond and understanding that is rooted in respect and trust. This training is done from the ground rather than in the saddle. The horse will learn to respond to your cues and therefore respect your personal space. You will learn to set healthy boundaries with your horse. Successful groundwork sets the path for both liberty work and successful riding!
Liberty Training
Experience the beautifully subtle art of liberty work with your horse. In this style of horsemanship, the horse is free from any equipment. Your horse will be guided to move as a result of your body language, intention and energy. Learn the principles of this delicate communication to develop a deep mutual bond and trust with your horse rather than one based on control. This coaching session focuses on allowing your horse to move freely while building mutual understanding.
Riding Lessons
Through the lens of both classical dressage and proper biomechanics, be guided to ride in a way that is safe for you and your horse. Essentially, the goal is to assist you in supporting the natural movements of your equine partner. Using a biomechanical perspective in horseback riding means you are taking into account how your horse’s body moves and functions. This will improve your horse’s balance, strength, coordination and limit strain. Moreover, the goal of classical dressage is to create a horse that is supple, strong, balanced, and responsive without having to use force or tension. These two perspectives complement each other nicely.
Hoof Care
Madison Ramaglia also offers professional hoof care trimming services for your horses at your location. An exceptional service and a personalized approach to your horse's hoof health is the focus of this service. Long term soundness through regular hoof care is a vital aspect of every domesticated horse's well-being. Although we recognize that regular hoof care appointments are but one aspect of maintaining soundness, they are an essential part. The clients responsibility is to prepare their horse by bringing them to a reasonably dry and clean area to receive this service. Please ensure that their legs are free from mud. Horses should be trained to accept being trimmed. Limited spots for trimming are available. Priority is given to long-standing clients.
