Rain
Rain's Story
Rain was our first experience with a horse born in the wild. She was so highly intuitive and such a master of synchronicity that she awed us all. However, she also came with a lot of trauma, both emotional and physical. She was previously owned by a client who had asked Madison to train her. They soon developed a deep relationship, and we noticed Rain had discovered a newfound joy in her life. Their relationship was not easily transferrable, so her owner decided she might have to sell her. This was deeply upsetting to Madison, and finally the owner offered to let Madison keep her. We felt that we had no choice but to accept this gift so that Rain could continue on this positive path in her life. She joined the others on our family farm track.

There's a powerful story behind how Madison came to work with Rain. Rain has a unique branding, and Madison's curiosity led her to research its origin. That journey took her all the way to Alberta, where she discovered that Rain had initially belonged to an Indigenous elder. Years prior, a group of horses had been stolen from the elder's land, and Rain was one of them.

Rain was eventually rescued by a horse trader and brought to Ontario, where she was adopted by Madison's client. She asked Madison to train her, and then eventually offered to let Madison adopt her. Madison couldn't say no!
